PASTOR NATHAN KVEENE

Nathan Kveene has served as the Youth Pastor at Kerkhoven E.F.C. since the summer of 2015. He is married to Ana, the girl who he said upon first sight has “the best smile I’ve ever seen”. He still thinks this is the case. Their relationship is the blessed result of love at first sight, significant watching from a far (a.k.a. "stalking"), a broken heart, and the outworking of God's sovereignty; feel free to ask him for that story.

He grew up in Rapid City, SD on the edge of the Black Hills, home to Mt. Rushmore and over 3 million acres of national forest. Growing up with a backyard like that he loves all things outdoors including mountain biking, rock climbing, hunting, hiking and backpacking. It has been some time since they’ve lived anywhere with significant topography, so Nathan enjoys spending his free time with his family which currently includes their three kids, Theo(dore), Elin (E-Lynn), and Quinn (2014, 16, 18), a Goldendoodle, Thorin, and a fat cat, GC (short for “Garage Cat” – yes, that really is the cat’s name). Creative outlets include woodworking, carpentry, and remodeling their house (the third ground-up remodel of their marriage).

Nathan loves the Gospel of grace and is most energized in ministry when he has the opportunity to talk about Jesus with anyone, whether they are eight or eighty years old.
